This particular nano-fiber Amsoil EA air filter will flow over 1500CFM with minimal restriction, and it is the largest nano-fiber filter available.
The 4510 has a 4.5 inch ID opening which is the same as the intake tube.
So, what I'm using to install it is a 4" PVC coupler, 4" PVC has a 4.0 inch inside diameter and a 4.5 outside diameter, it will fit snugly inside the filter and intake tube.
Besides putting it together all I'm going to do is hit the PVC with some black barbecue paint. I also bought a pre-filter for it, the 4510 takes a EAPF20. I would recommend using one to keep your filter element CLEAN, it will extend the life and catch dust.. dirt.. and mud. That way your filter lasts you for years.
http://www.amsoil.com/StoreFront/eaau.aspxIf you want the Amsoil filter pay for a preferred customer membership ($10) and order it along with a pre-filter. Or can also order the filter from the K&N website (RF-1024), it's the same filter but it will have red filter media instead of blue and it won't say Amsoil on it. The pre-filter however is cheaper from Amsoil ($18.99 vs $35) so you might as well get it at one place.
Pictures to follow.
